Froyo & Sushi
2010.12.17 Friday

It was really cold out, but we decided to go downtown anyways because Mai still needed to get her brother a present. We ended up on F Street which is home to many popular stores such as h&m, zara and forever 21 which were all two stories After shopping, we spotted a very contemporary-style-frozen-yogurt-place called fro-zen-yo. The exterior was so simple it stuck out from the fancier buildings next to it.

Though their toppings were abundant, it was not very fresh
They also had hot fudge as a topping.. so much for fat-free.

My cup compared to Mai's.  She went a little lever happy and ended up getting $6.XX's worth of frozen yogurt She had a *really* hard time finishing it HAHA.

After that we caught some dinner back in Virginia at Sushi Yama.

The shopping complex that the restaurant is located at is connected to another shopping complex, but it's separated by a curb (like you know.. sidewalk curb which means one side of the complex is elevated) if that makes any sense..  So when I turned, I turned into the wrong complex and Mai goes "Yeah.. there's a curb.  Last time I came we didn't see the curb either."   I didn't want to risk driving over the curb because my car is pretty low as it is... so I made a reallyyyy illegal U-Turn ... HAHA I animated it for you to see.

Give it a bit of imagination.  & If you are wondering.. Yes, I do drive that badly. That's why I never offer to drive anywhere!

It was my first time, though Mai is more a regular (they even recognize her because she likes to roll there with her boyfran on a motorcycle ). She recommended this place because they offer a lot of rolls with cream cheese.

All of our rolls on one big platter in the center. It was very delicious!  I like how their cream cheese was at room temperature rather than being solid.. that way it melted in your mouth. *mouth watering*

The next day, I went to
 Vincent's 20th Birthday Party.
Very interesting... I'll leave it at that.

isn't he adorable? please excuse the blurry pictures.. it was the beer kicking in.
Hello Books.
2010.10.05 Tuesday

I think the internet has taken a toll on my vocabulary and speech. It's really not normal when i'm blurting out "I IS HUNGRY" and "EL OH EL" aloud :¥ Anyways, so I kind of missed reading. The thrift store around my house has books at 3 for $1, but their selection was not that great. Today I went to pick up a few more books at The Salvation Army for $1 each. I don't mind that these books are second-hand because that doesn't change anything within the pages. Plus, books are normally pretty expensive, they are usually $13+ which adds up. I am super excited to dig into the books! Also, if you notice; all these books have one thing in common. They're all National/International Bestsellers. HAHA
Hello Sales~
2010.10.04 Monday

I went to the mall to find something to wear on Saturday and I walked out with my wallet empty.

I bought a skirt & shirt at h&m. They were having a big sale to celebrate h&m being in US for 10 years? Something like that.. The skirt was only $4.95!! details:

I don't usually wear skirts so I get a weird feeling when I wear it. It's also very flowy so I would imagine it would not be good to wear on a windy day.  The lacey shirt is so cute, I think I might go grab some more before the sale it over.

The dress on the right is also from h&m. It was only $14.95 and very cute  There was a black version too but I opted for the pink one because I have wayy too many black dresses.  The left jacket was bought the day before. It was only $10 from Burlington. It has a bubble shape and I honestly cannot wait until it gets slightly colder so I can wear it.

Isn't this tote japanese-y? I was debating whether I should get it or not because I wasn't sure if I could pull it off as a bag (because it slightly looks like one of those eco friendly tote bags you use to carry your groceries/ stuff you buy). In the end I got it anyways because it was only $3.99.

My LAST stop was Urban Outfitters. The night before I was looking at their website because they were having a great big sale. I ran across this and I instantly wanted it so bad! Problem was that I lost my debit card and UO didn't take paypal. I was seriously considering asking my dad to use his CC. Anyways I was casually looking around the store, and I came across the green version of the shoes. And I was like... "zomg I wonder if they have the red ones I want" I dug a little and Voila I found it! and in my size too!!!!  I was reallyyy happy. Plus it was only $9.99 opposed to being $19.99 like on the website.  They were a little dirty but I didn't care. I immediately bought it and left the mall before I did anymore damage.  teehee.

bought a few other beauty items; but will update that tomorrow.
